At your request, we will arrange a meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
We plan to depart for the hunt on the first day of the tour.
If weather conditions are unfavorable, we will reschedule the departure for one of the following evenings.
Departure times vary, usually from 19:00 to 22:00, and depend on solar activity and cloud forecast.

Hunting for the Northern Lights

Day 1 – Wednesday
Departure from Murmansk

Arrival in Kirovsk and visit to the Polar-Alpine Botanical Garden (summer and off-season)/Snow Village (winter)

Lunch at a restaurant (buffet)

Transfer to the Aikuaivenchorr mountain lift and ascent to an altitude of 820 meters

Excursion to the Stone Museum

Visit to the Mysterious Forest art park (seasonal)

Departure to Murmansk

Start of the excursion program:

— A visit to the largest chum, officially listed in the Russian Book of Records
— Stories and legends about the indigenous peoples of the Far North around a burning fireplace
— Archery
— Unique Sami objects and artifacts
— Feeding reindeer, Tibetan yaks, donkeys, ponies, and goats
— Handling huskies and tame rabbits
— Tubular sleigh rides and a fun slide
— Reindeer sleigh ride (in winter)

Sami Ethnopark – Sami culture, reindeer, and huskies

Departure from Murmansk

Arrive in Teriberka and visit Old Teriberka: a giant swing on the seashore, an abandoned ship, and Poseidon's throne.
Later, visit a ship graveyard and a real whale skeleton.

2-hour boat cruise / 2 hours of free time

Lunch at a restaurant in Teriberka

Visit to Teriberka Nature Park: Dragon's Egg Beach, panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Barents Sea, and a hike to the Batareisky Waterfall

Departure to Murmansk

In case of bad weather on the Barents Sea coast, take a tour of the Tersky Coast of the White Sea. For no extra charge, you'll discover an ancient coastline full of tranquility and Pomor traditions, a contrast to the harshness of Teriberka.

We're heading out on a city tour:

  • The pedestrian section begins at Five Corners Square:
  • Visit the cross commemorating the founding of Murmansk, monuments to S.M. Kirov, cod, a time capsule, and the Kirov Community Center.
  • Visit the monument to Anatoly Bredov and Pervouchiteley Square with the monument to Cyril and Methodius.

Lunch at a restaurant in Murmansk.

Continuation of the city tour:

  • Visit to the Cathedral of the Savior on the Waters and the memorial to the sailors who died during peacetime
  • Monument to Semyon the Cat
  • Visit to the Alyosha Memorial Complex
  • Visit to the Waiting Woman monument and the observation deck overlooking the Kola Bay
  • Visit to the seaport and viewing of the Lenin Icebreaker

The excursion begins on the Icebreaker Lenin.

Transfer to the hotel.

After 5:30 PM, we'll transfer you to the airport/train station if your group has an evening departure.
Departures are possible after 8:30 PM.

Day 5 – Sunday

Northern lights

In case of bad weather on the Barents Sea coast, take a tour to the Tersky Coast of the White Sea. For no extra charge, you'll discover an ancient coastline full of tranquility and Pomor traditions, a contrast to the harsh shores of Teriberka.

Teriberka

If the weather permits, we hunt for the Northern Lights on the first day.
